2. What Data We Collect
2.1 Analytics (requires your consent)
When you accept non-essential cookies, we collect:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — anonymised page views, session duration, device information, and custom events such as route optimisations and feature interactions.
- Contentsquare — session replay and interaction heatmaps to understand how the application is used.
- Route analytics — anonymised route data (stop count, total distance, estimated duration, approximate suburb-level start area) sent to our database for product improvement. No exact addresses or personally identifiable information is stored.
2.2 Functional data (no consent required)
We use browser localStorage for essential application features. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

The session storage key pf_session_id is an anonymous random identifier used to group analytics events within a single browser session. It is automatically cleared when you close the tab.
3. How to Manage Your Consent
When you first visit the site, a banner asks you to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time by clicking the Cookies link in the sidebar footer, or by using the button below.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. Analytics data is shared only with:
- Google (GA4) — subject to Google's Privacy Policy
- Contentsquare — subject to Contentsquare's Privacy Policy
5. Data Retention
GA4 data is retained for 14 months per Google's default settings. Route analytics data is retained for 12 months. localStorage data persists until you clear your browser data.
6. Your Rights
Under GDPR and POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act, South Africa), you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
